The School of the Sword Heading To Winterkamp
The School of the Sword instructor, Emilia Skirmuntt, will be heading to the Netehrlands this February to teach at Winterkamp 2023
Zwaardkring’s annual international HEMA event will take place on february 10th-12th 2023!
Workshops in different disciplines given by big names but also gives a stage to newcomers in HEMA. Enjoy all kinds of workshops, lectures, free sparring, socializing, eating and sleeping all on one site.

School of the Sword Celebrates Their 20th Anniversary With Sparring Event
We celebrated our 20th anniversary with HEMA clubs from all over the south of England this weekend. It was a wonderful day with lots of smiles, fights, and catching up with friends. Many thanks to everyone who came to celebrate with us, we look forward to fencing you again soon!

Godalming Saturday Sparring – 29th October 2022
Some of the members from our Godalming chapter spent part of their day enjoying one of our regular open air sparring sessions. These sessions give students the chance to practise the things they’ve learnt in class as well as get in some much needed sparring.

School of the Sword Takes Bronze
Congratulations to Mikołaj Krukowski from our Godalming chapter who took bronze in the Open Sabre competition at last weekend’s Wessex League Southampton. Well done to all the School of the Sword participants and, as always, congratulations to all winners.

The School Of The Sword Celebrates 20th Anniversary
This year sees the 20th anniversary of School of the Sword, and whilst we’re planning a year long celebration with most of the activities in the summer, next month we will be hosting a freeplay session, open to members of other schools, followed by a meal in Reading in the evening.
