Oxford Sparring – 4th August 2024

Our Oxford students met up again today for their regular weekend sparring. Sparring gives them a chance to exchange with students they might not have sparred with before, practise weapons that might not currently be in the training curriculum, as well as get some much needed time to incorporate new techniques and tactics into their swordplay.

Godalming Training – 24th July 2024

Our Godalming students gathered for their regular weekly training session tonight, with three streams of learning available.  Fran looked at sidesword and dagger,  April continued her work with the beginners and John hosted an impromptu lesson on tactics

Godalming Training – 3rd July 2024

As is customary for our Godalming students, when a training block ends, there is typically a freeplay session for one week before the next blocks begin.  Tonight was no exceptions with students sparring agaisnt each other with a multitude of weapons.  There was also a Bring & Buy table, and sword maintenance table.

SOTS Oxford Freeplay Day – 29th June 2024

Our Oxford Chapter played host to our latest Freeplay Day where students from all chapters, along with friends from other clubs, join together for four solid hours of sparring.  There was a good turnout and a lot of fun was had.

Godalming Training – 26th June 2024

Students gathered in Godalming tonight for our regular training session with two different streams on offer. Fran continued her rapier and dagger refresh / intro lessons, while Mark continued his lessons on sword and buckler.
