Swindon Training – 13th March 2024

Our Swindon students have been doing a lot of work looking at Sword & Cape this year, and sadly tonight was their last session on it.  We finished off looking at some cape throws from Fabris, and then spent some time gearing up to play with all the skills we’ve learned over the past weeks.

Tonight saw our regular Swindon Training session.  This week students continued their look at Sword & Cloak and were looking at throwing from wearing.  We also looked at some single sidesword drills and worked on some entries for a cape wrapping competition.

It was our regular Swindon Training session tonight, and students were busy engaged in propelled cloak throws as part of our Sword & Cloak teaching block.  We also continued our work in single sidesword by looking at opportunistic attacks.

Our Swindon students gathered for their regular weekly training session tonight.  We continued to look at Sword & Cloak, refining work we had already done before devoting the second half to a freeplay session to allow students to play with different weapon sets and skills they’ve recently picked up.

Our Swindon students have been doing a lot of work since the start of the year looking at the various aspects of Sword & Cloak.  Tonight, we put that to the test by taking part in a cape wrapping competition.  Students had to interpret Altoni’s source material and reproduce it for a competition organised by The Art of Arms Substack.

Our Swindon students have been studying Sword & Cloak since the beginning of the year and are now progressing onto advanced techniques.  Tonight, at our regular weekly session, we looked at cloak defenses against cuts.

Tonight was our weekly Swindon Training session and our students were busy continuing their work looking at Sword & Cloak.  Tonight they were looking at defense against low line cuts.  A lot of good work by all with some really taking to the new weapon combination.

It was the second week of the new term and tonight student’s continued progressing with work on our duel lesson block: looking at sword & cape as well as the foundations of Giovanni dall’Agocchie’s single sidesword.

A new year and our Swindon students started it by looking at two new weapon combinations.  We started the evening looking at Dall’aggochie’s low guards as we start to learn single sidesword, and then also started our work on Sword & Cloak.
