Tonight saw our regular Swindon training night. We started off with Valentina showing us a Sword & Buckler trick she learnt at last weekend’s Swords by the River. Adrian then did a lesson on feints according to Giganti in Rapier & Dagger. Lots of new knowledge shared.
Tonight our students spent the evening working on a sword drill. There was some lovely form on display as we went through Dalla’ gocchie’s stepping through guards looking to get it perfect. Students enjoyed the challenge and will continue to work on perfecting it at home.
Our Swindon students have been looking at Giganti rapier this summer, and tonight we continued our work looking at the disengage. Lots of technical work with lots of counters as we worked through the various drills. Good concentration from all students.
