Reading students met up in the centre of Reading last weekend for the latest School of the Sword social.
Drinks were drunk, pizza was consumed and some very nerdy jokes about fencing masters were exchanged.
Friday night saw The School of the Sword’s annual Xmas social. Students from both Reading and Godalming met up for a festive meal. Both Fran and Matt gave speeches giving thanks to all those who have assisted them in the past year and allowed the school to continue to grow. There were also a number of awards given out.
Whilst it is common for members to retreat to the pub after a hectic sparring or training session, Saturday night saw the School of the Sword venture into the wilds of Reading for dedicated social evening.
We started in the pub for some liquid refreshment before heading out for a meal together where we came away with a certificate of achievement for completing the Mississippi Platter. A great night out with a lot of laughs.
Just because you’re in the Alps skiing is no excuse to miss training. A number of our members decided to get some practise in on the French / Italian border. We like their dedication but suspect that snowboard and skipole will not catch on as companion weapons.
Members from both Godalming and Reading descended on Camberley last Friday for an evening of mirth and mayhem. After some excellent Tapas we hit a local pub to celebrate a successful year and hopefully an even more successful one in the year to come!
