What with the pandemiic it’s been a long time since the school had a proper social. That all changed on Friday night when members of all chapters gathered in Reading for a night of food, drinks and sword related chat. It was good to catch up and meet members from other chapters we’d not encountered before. Thanks to Josh and Jubie for opening their house to us all.

School Of The Sword Teaches At Fightcamp

2022-08-23T18:20:29+00:00August 20th, 2022|Events, Rapier|

Fightcamp is a long running UK event organised by our friends over at Schola Gladiatoria.  It’s a fun weekend of camping, classes and camaraderie.

This year, two School of the Sword instructors were invited to teach. Adrian ran a rapier workshop on Alfieri and his classification of various fighters (as well as tactics on how to defeat all of them), while Fran held her workshop right after, focusing on how to look good with rapier.  Both workshops were well attended, with plenty of eager students.
